About Us
Hello, and welcome to
Forge on the Green.
We are so excited to be
able to share our vision
and story with you.
Some of our favourite things in life,
are great coffee, delicious simple food, beautiful joinery, art, friendships & family. Forge on the Green encompasses all of these under one roof.
We also believe that anyone can succeed in life, with the right support and opportunities. This is the reason we set up the Hurstcote Charitable Trust. We have chosen to run our coffee shop as a social enterprise, with all of the profits supporting our charitable aims. Please see our separate pages for our Forging Futures programme and the wonderful people involved.
We look forward to welcoming you to Forge on the Green.

Coffee
Coco is our coffee expert and has been working with us on this project for almost two years.
Her journey to Forge on the Green has spanned four continents, working on coffee plantations, roasting, training, competitions and setting up cafes in New York and London.
The coffee we serve at Forge on the Green is from two producers in Brazil and has been carefully roasted and blended for Coco, for us. The taste notes are milk chocolate, caramel
and plum.
Coco’s passion lies in setting up new cafes, looking at each aspect including design, operations and that the customer experience
is first class.
If you have any coffee questions, come in and
ask Coco.
Food
Growing up in Surrey, Laura developed a love of food from an early age after watching and helping her grandma in the kitchen. After finishing school, she pursued her passion by training at Leith's School of Food & Wine, where she graduated in 2010.
With over a decade of experience in various roles within the industry, Laura brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to our kitchen. She believes that food should not only taste great but make us feel great and connect us as a community. Her approach to cooking emphasises simplicity and seasonal ingredients, creating dishes that celebrate both flavour and well-being.
Laura now lives in Shamley Green with her young family. As a mum to two daughters, she shares her love of cooking and eating with her family & friends. Laura is eager to inspire others through her dishes and share her passion for food that brings joy and connection.
